The Trend of Knitting.

There is a new trend reaching a house, school, community centre near you, if its a club or just a hobby the trend of knitting is making it's comeback after dieting out in the mid 60's due to commercialisation. Due to the recession however in the 21st century knitting has made a strong comeback. Yes, there are flaws to this trend, but there are many positive advantages!

Over the 21st century there has been a huge serge of people who are not only knitting there own clothing, but they simply want to learn a new life time skill, hobby, fun activity to do when maybe they are simply bored.

With various  websites becoming more and more popular to learn from, such as YouTube, knitting can be a task learnt from a computer screen.

However on a contrasting note you do have the flaws and one of them is that  once you buy all the wool, it comes off a little short or matches the price of a shop bought cable knit jumper. So really your not saving that much money. Though saying that would it not be better to do a hobby that you actually get something out of rather than sitting in front of a TV, playing video games?

Over the christmas/new year holiday the knitting trend has in fact hit my auntie and uncles household, with my auntie knitting each close family/friend member an individual (variety of coloured) hats, with a bobble on top like the cherry on top of a bakewell tart.

It is truly a trend that is fun to set, but you can make money from it, not only on Ebay but there are many websites that sell homemade produce. So sit comfy, get the laptop out and learn how to knit !
