The new french based store of 'Kooples' have just stretched out there chain from the stores in Paris, and other parts of France to the UK.
They are a rock n' roll cloth store which has become a big name because of three brothers, who are sons of the people behind 'Comptor des Cotonniers' womenswear chain. They have been born into the spotlight of the rich and have had the wealth backing them, to end up with 'The Kooples'.
The Kooples have opened 3 brand new stores in the UK recently, by having these 3 starting shops in the UK has created a buzz/small explosion for the shop which was hardly known in the UK at the start of the year. It is a shop in which tends the need of groovy couples who are looking for a snake-hipped rock n'roll look. The couples range from groovy girls/boyfriends/civil partners/ whatever can show off The Kooples sleek new clothing, of skinny trousers, fitted blazers, pointy shoes, it is just the thing to make a man/women of a middle age want to be young again.
There advertising campaign has been extremely clever, by putting couple in The Kooples clothing on the side of buses, in London.
But is all this hype worth it for a overpriced hight end, high-street shop ? Personally even though sloths are very good quality(by looking in the shop) I still think it is very overprices for what is classed as a highstreet shop. Although saying that everyone likes there clothing, so i think someone with money to hand will spend a good hour of the day in there.
Apart from the price, everything is going strong, and being in the shop, the shop front, simple but effective and the inside layout is very nice. Cloths are laid out clearly, and the free magazines are recommended to take away with you.
A shop which is hard to judge for me at the moment but has some good aspect to it!
3/5 stars as a business so far!
