Pre-preping you for Spring Summer 13

If you like neon tones of colour, geometric shapes used for patterns, and room for some cropping, then this summer is your year. Moving from the blacks played with some colour from A/W12 I have seen by looking at numerous  catwalk shows that that black and white colour scheme can still be spotted, however we are seeing bright, and I mean bring colours making there mark this summer. What better way to celebrate a wonderful british summer... well lets hope for that hot summer.

Bold yellows, and greens could be spotted the most, but there were some pastels mixed in with those bold coloured pieces of clothing. I liked how they combined the black with the yellow, changing from the normal checked squares including the colours black and white, (although that was also to be seen in trend this S/S). I feel that the only way these strong colours can work is if they are dressed with a colour that is obviously complimenting the strong yellows and greens. Black we can already seen has been added, but navy blues with the yellows, and for the green, white, pastel pink, pale colours could be used to tone the strong neon green down.

The use of geometric shaping of the clothing I thought worked very well. Also noting down that there was the sign of A-lining dresses that were in season, to minimise the illusion of the bust and hips. The geometric shapes covering up any curves you may not want any one to see, but for something more practical for the highstreets, I would choose geometric shoes not dress. Find a model of shoes that is squared, maybe the sole is, cork being a material that is also coming into season.

I think the  introduction of some pastels being shown is also a pass to you being able to maybe recycle some clothes from last year. I think that if you are to get old cloths out get the pastel pinks not yellows and greens as that will clash with this years clothing.

So to get the upper foot this year look out of the checked patterns, green/yellow neon colours complimented with white/black, and then remember about geometric shapes through jewellery  (in shops for sale now) or with shoes.
